BackgroundThe compliance review (CR) is a federal program monitoring motor carrier safety performance and regulatory compliance. This study sought to assess the impact of CRs on reviewed trucking companies in reducing truck crashes.MethodsData was from the Motor Carrier Management Information System. ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to examine the epidemiology and health system cost of children’s falls resulting in hospitalisation in 2003 in Western Australia.MethodsThe Injury Cost Database was used to identify children who were admitted to hospital with a falls related injury. Psychosocial function of driving as predictor of risk-taking behaviour

This study examined the relation between risk-taking behaviour while driving, the psychosocial function of driving, leisure time activities, car oriented peer group interaction and educational attainment. Motorcyclist fatality rates and mandatory helmet-use laws

Using cross-sectional time series data for the 50 states and Washington, DC, covering the period 1975–2004, we estimate fixed effects regression models that examine the effects of universal and partial helmet laws on three different motorcyclist fatality rates, while controlling for other state policies and characteristics. Bicyclists are vulnerable road users for severe injury all over the world. The nature and extent of such injuries are less well known in Iran. Using data from a comprehensive survey conducted by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in 13 health divisions of Iran, in 2003, we examined circumstances around bicyclist injury and death.
